Are you willing to be the hands and feet of Christ and join hands with a woman who is dealing with the reality of her pregnancy? “Connections” is a program in which Caring Network matches a client with a nearby church or small group. During her pregnancy, you have the opportunity to build a relationship by inviting her into your group or church. At the end of her pregnancy, your group hosts a baby shower for her. As the contact, you would be the intermediary between Caring Network and your group. Email

Receptionist
This is a critical role for our team–providing the staffing needed for us to be open, and setting a warm, professional, welcoming atmosphere for our clients. Volunteer receptionists greet clients and assist with light office work. No previous office experience is required. This position does not involve counseling clients. Receptionists must be dependable, compassionate, and full of respect for others. Weekday shifts are available.
Prayer Team
Are you committed to praying for the needs of others? We gratefully welcome volunteers who are dedicated to praying for this ministry. There are always important prayer needs here, and we seek to connect them with partners who are faithful in interceding. Our prayer team volunteers are self-starters who are able to serve with a positive, humble attitude, and to leave results in the Lord’s hands. Dependability and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential. If you may be interested to serve in this way, please email to learn more.
Housekeeping
One of the ways that Caring Network Illinois pursues fiscal responsibility is by not outsourcing to meet our housekeeping needs. To make that possible, our fabulous Housekeeping Volunteers commit to daytime shifts of 1-2 hours, once per month. The housekeeping needs are basic—bathroom, floors, surfaces, kitchen, and sinks—and volunteers can select the tasks they prefer to do. We strive to complete our housekeeping when clients are not present, ensuring a quiet, private atmosphere during appointments.
Handyperson
Things need assembling, changing, and fixing. Are you talented with that kind of work? Do you have weekday availability? If so, we would love to have you “on call” as a Handyperson Volunteer! Let us know what your skillset is, and we will hope we never need you… but will surely call!
