Each year Caring Network hosts a baby bottle fundraising campaign. Local participating churches pass out empty baby bottles to congregants. They take the bottles home and fill them with change, bills, and checks. The Baby Bottle Drive generates funds each year to help support the work of the ministry, while also allowing many individuals and churches to participate. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, many changes have taken place regarding church congregations and parishes. With that in mind, the Caring Network 2021 Baby Bottle Drive expanded to offer new options. Now, even more people can join online through our events page.
Caring Network is a faith-based pro-life non-profit that has been serving the western suburbs of Chicago for 40 years. By offering free pregnancy services to women concerned about an unplanned pregnancy, we offer support at a time of great need. If you’d like to learn more about how to get involved and support our life-saving work, reach out to us today.
What is the Baby Bottle Drive?
Many pregnancy resource centers around the country host baby bottle campaigns throughout the year. Filling a baby bottle with change may seem like something small, but it truly changes lives! In the past, many churches would commit to distributing hundreds of bottles to their congregations. Then, each person or family would take their bottle home and go about the task of filling it with spare change, bills, or checks. This is a great way to get children involved in the cause as well!
After filling the bottle, they would bring it back to the church and arrangements would be made to get the filled bottles to Caring Network. Then, we’d tally the totals by congregation, letting each church know how much they contributed.
How is the Baby Bottle Different in 2021?
With capacity restrictions at local churches, along with the shifting of many ministry opportunities “online,” the Baby Bottle Drive adapted. Now, churches can continue to participate in the same way as they have in the past – receiving physical bottles to fill. Or, they can choose to encourage their congregants to participate by giving to the campaign online. Donations can be made directly through our site here, or checks can be mailed to our administrative office with “bottle drive” on the memo line.
Who Can Participate in Caring Network’s Baby Bottle Drive?
With the expansion to online participation, that means anyone can join in on the fun! You don’t have to be a member of a participating congregation to contribute to the drive. Spread the word to friends and family by sharing the site on social media or through email. The Baby Bottle Drive is an easy way for everyone to get involved!
All funds raised by the drive go to support our day-to-day ministry in changing and saving lives.
Caring Network has partnered with local churches and individuals in the community since 1981. We wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission without the support of those who come alongside us. We receive no government funding and rely on donations and fundraisers like the Baby Bottle Drive. If you’d like to participate, please check out our Baby Bottle Drive page and start today!
