Would you like to be part of a Christian service team that is daily involved in impacting lives? Do you desire to do something purposeful with your time and energy? If so, then Caring Network Illinois is the perfect place for you to do just that. Each day, Caring Network Illinois serves women facing an unplanned pregnancy, and you can play an essential role in serving them with us.
West Chicago Center Opening Soon
This November, Caring Network Illinois is opening a brand new location in West Chicago! Our West Chicago office will be located on the west side of Route 59, at 440 E Roosevelt Rd. We are in need of volunteers for this new location. We are seeking to build our team now, so that we will be ready to launch in November.
There are several ways for churches and individuals to be a part of this critical mission. Find more information on church partnerships here. For individuals, here are the volunteer opportunities we are looking to fill:
West Chicago Receptionist Volunteer: Caring Network Illinois is now accepting applications for West Chicago Receptionist Volunteers! This is a critical role for our team – providing the staffing needed for us to be open, and setting the warm, professional, welcoming atmosphere for our clients. Volunteer receptionists greet clients and assist with light office work. No previous office experience is required. This position does not involve counseling clients. Receptionists must be dependable, compassionate, and full of respect for others. Weekday shifts are available.
West Chicago Prayer Partner Volunteer: Are you committed to praying for the needs of others? Caring Network Illinois is seeking dedicated Prayer Partner Volunteers to serve at our West Chicago location. This is an in-office position, with weekday shifts available. Prayer Partners will be invited to pray for our staff and operations, as well as for the needs of specific clients (without knowing any of their personal information). Prayer Partners must be self-starters who are able to serve with a positive, humble attitude, and to leave results in the Lord’s hands. Dependability and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential. As we prepare to engage in this important work, having prayer support is essential.
Housekeeping and Maintenance
West Chicago Housekeeping Volunteer: One of the ways that Caring Network Illinois pursues fiscal responsibility is by not outsourcing to meet our housekeeping needs. To make that possible, our fabulous Housekeeping Volunteers commit to daytime shifts of 1-2 hours, once per month. The housekeeping needs are basic—bathroom, floors, surfaces, kitchen, and sinks—and volunteers can select the tasks they prefer to do. We strive to complete our housekeeping when clients are not present, ensuring a quiet, private atmosphere during appointments.
West Chicago Handyperson Volunteer: Things need assembling, changing, and fixing. Are you talented with that kind of work? Do you have weekday availability? If so, we would love to have you “on call” as a Handyperson Volunteer! Let us know what your skillset is, and we will hope we never need you… but will surely call!
If you would like more information, or are interested in any of these positions and would like to request a Volunteer Application, please email WCvolunteers@caringnetwork.com. We would love to have you on our team!
