Giving in 2021: A Guide

The changes our world has endured from the impact of COVID-19 have left many people wondering how they can continue supporting organizations that are important to them.

Amidst job loss, online learning, social distancing, and added stress, one would expect charitable giving to be down. Surprisingly, the pandemic may have changed how we donate, but it hasn’t reduced the amount we give. In fact, Americans seem to be giving to their favorite charities like never before.

If you wonder how you can support organizations that are important to you, read on as we discuss the why and how of giving in 2021.

Why Give?

When you give from your heart, generously and without reproach, there are layers of benefits. You feel good about making a difference while you are tangibly helping in an area of genuine need. Your giving also advances the Kingdom of God as people give thanks to Him because of your generosity. “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God” (2 Corinthians 9:11, NIV).

Now that we know why we give, let’s examine ways giving has changed and ways to donate in 2021.

Giving in 2021: A Guide

At Caring Network we have pivoted the way we serve our clients and engage with partners or volunteers to honor shelter-in-place and social distancing safety mandates. Despite the necessary changes, you can make a powerful difference by continuing to partner with us in saving lives as we work together compassionately caring for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Giving ideas include:

LIFESAVER SPONSORSHIP

LifeSaver Sponsorship helps cover the $1,200 cost of each life saved at Caring Network’s Pregnancy Centers. Online donations are the most convenient way for you to be a LifeSaver Sponsor. You can make a one-time gift online or set up recurring donations, so you don’t have to remember. You can also make your donation “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone special.

BABY BOTTLE DRIVE 2021

Caring Network promotes a Baby Bottle Drive each year. Participants collect money in the form of change, bills, and checks that provide critical support for this vital, life-saving ministry.

This year, we are providing two new “touch-free” ways to participate in the Baby Bottle Drive in addition to the traditional way we have offered it in the past. You can “fill a bottle” by:

Caring Network

1200 Roosevelt Rd, Ste. 114

Glen Ellyn, IL 60137

(Please write “Baby Bottle” on the memo line.)

INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Caring Network also needs your talents. If you prefer to partner with us by volunteering your time, we have many opportunities. We need prayer team members, church liaisons, after-abortion group leaders, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at volunteer@caringnetwork.com.

All of us at Caring Network are grateful that you have followed the Lord’s promptings to participate in this life-giving work because it isn’t possible without you. For over four decades, God has faithfully provided through His people, so Caring Network can continue to care for women and save lives.
