Planned Parenthood on the Ropes in Wisconsin

Heeding the calls of Wisconsin citizens, Governor Scott Walker signed a bill redirecting the state’s Title X funding away from Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin to other community health providers.  This bill is expected to remove $3.5 million annually from PPWI in tax revenue.  Underscoring the importance of this event, Governor Walker signed the bill at a pregnancy center in Waukesha, Life’s Connection.  Another bill signed by the Governor only allows Planned Parenthood to bill Medicaid for the actual cost of contraceptives, saving tax payers an estimated $4.5 million.  The move to eliminate funding follows the revelation that PP was doing abortions in a way to secure the best prices for baby body parts.  Caring Network applauds the citizens of Wisconsin and its elected officials on the passage of this importance legislation.
